TEN $1000 SCHOLARSHIPS

QUALIFICATION

·         Complete Scholarship application  (APPLICATION FORM IN MRS. MCDONALD’S OFFICE at SHS)

·         Submit High School Transcript

·         Submit a typed one page, double spaced essay on why you chose your major field of study and how it relates to your career goals

·         Submit extracurricular activities and community involvement on a separate sheet

ELIGIBILITY

·         BE A MEMBER OF GULF CREDIT UNION IN HIS OR HER OWN RIGHT  (You can open up an account to qualify)

·         Be a High School senior and have achieved academic proficiency (Average grade of C or above… we’ll look at your GPA in the office and give you the numerical average)

·         Be under the age of 21

·         Be planning to attend a Lamar University / College campus or have attended LEAP classes through Lamar at your high school
