Curriculum
Silsbee High School offers a well-rounded academic program for students including Advanced Placement courses in Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Music.
In addition, the high school has a Distance Learning Lab where students earn dual credits for high school and college at Lamar University, as well as the Career and Technology Education that participates in Tech Prep with all two year Texas junior colleges. These paths prepare students to move forward on earning a degree leading to a career in Health Occupations, Child Care, Food and Nutrition, Education and Training, Auto Technician, Agricultural Sciences, Computer Technology and Business.
Students have the opportunity to learn technology at Silsbee High School through Cisco Systems, Architectural or Engineering Graphics, Multimedia or other creative suite programs.
Silsbee High School has the only high school program in Southeast Texas with NATEF Certification and the Automotive Youth Excellence Certification.
