CERTIFICATIONS:

The Industry Based Certification is the ASE entry level certification. While ASE offers a variety of certifications, our program prepares students to earn the Maintenance and Light Repair ASE Certification. The pathway for students to earn begins with the Automotive Basics class. In Basics they will learn shop safety, tools, equipment, and the major automotive systems and their components. The next step toward certification is Automotive 1. In Auto Tech 1 students begin their "hands-on" experience and gain more insight in how vehicles are constructed and how to maintain and repair them. Finally, Auto Tech 2 provides a variety of routine tasks for students to gain the knowledge and confidence that is required to become a fully certified automotive technician. In Auto Tech 2 students will also prepare for both The ASE Maintenance and Light Repair certification test and the Toyota Maintenance Certification.
